Tomas Mankovsky is an alumnus of Beckmans College of Design in Stockholm, where his award-winning graduation short earned the Kycklingstipendiet for new talent at the Swedish Guldägget Awards. After graduating, Tomas joined Fallon and relocated to London, where he developed award-winning campaigns for global brands including Sony, Orange, Cadbury, and the BBC.
Driven by a passion for storytelling, Tomas expanded into directing with the short film Sorry I’m Late, which went viral and was later featured in an Apple commercial. This marked the beginning of a career spanning commercials, short films, music videos, screenplays, and long-form projects.
His writing has been recognized on The Black List (US), ranking him in the top 1% of screenwriters. Tomas currently has multiple feature films and television projects in development. As a director, he has worked with brands including Amazon, IKEA, PlayStation, H&M, Nissan, O2, and T-Mobile, maintaining strong roots in advertising while continuing to expand into film and television.
Over the course of his career, Tomas has received more than 35 international awards, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, Clio, Epica, BTAA, and Creative Circle honors. He has served as a jury member for D&AD, the Art Directors Club, and the Swedish Guldägget, and is a member of the Directors Guild of America (DGA).
